Democracy at work, candidates for CSM #2 announced

The Council for Stellar Management is mainly considered a PR ploy by the forumwarriors. You know, the asshats, the whiners, the pessimists. That’s the forumwarriors, not necessarily the members of the CSM 😉

Anywho, voting is commenced on the 7th of November, and goes on until the 21th of November. For a list of the candidates go to this page (I believe it requires a login, so non-EVE players are out of luck, sucks to be you). Dev blog on the matter is here.

For a bit of background, here’s a dev blog announcing the forming of the first CSM. And also a pretty wicked document on all things CSM, together with academic lingo and theorems for the democratic system.

  1. I’m more hopeful for this CSM than I was for the first one. We (the EVE bloggers) need to start analyzing the candidates collectively.

  2. Ooh. That’s an excellent idea. Just a brief glance at the candidates seem to indicate that not every candidate is a “serious” one. Your definition of serious may wary, of course.

And almost every fourth candidate will be elected to office. And only one in every 10 eligible voter will cast their vote…
